objetiva y tipificada de una muestra de conducta, fundamentalmente nos
permiten hacer descripciones y comparaciones de unas personas con otra y
también de una misma persona en diferentes momentos de su vida, en la
actualidad son de mucha utilidad en la evaluación del personal en las
organizaciones, se utilizan para la selección, evaluación del desempeño,
para decisiones de promoción, incluso para decisiones de despido, para
la<br>
conformación de equipos de trabajo, desarrollo de proyectos y múltiples
aplicaciones más. Las pruebas psicológicas organizacionales deben saber
utilizarse y sus mediciones son bastante correctas si se utilizan bien;
dependiendo de la naturaleza de la cuestión a medir se elegirá un tipo
de test u otro y datos obtenidos con este tipo de test pueden ser más
fiables en unas personas que en otras, por tanto, hay que usarlos
adecuadamente.<br>

Una evaluación psicológica implica la administración de una batería de
tests, que incluyen técnicas objetivas o psicométricas y otras técnicas
menos estructuradas o tests proyectivos. Cada prueba da información
diferente; esa información debe confrontarse con el perfil del candidato
a un puesto. Para que una prueba sea adecuada tiene que cumplir una
serie de requisitos: ha de ser objetivo, estandarizado, fiable, válido y
contar con un grupo de referencia con el que comparar los resultados.
